CVE-2026-22666·PHP vulnerability

Dolibarr ERP/CRM versions prior to 23.0.2 contain an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability in the dol_eval_standard() function that fails to apply forbidden string checks in whitelist mode and does not detect PHP dynamic callable syntax. Attackers with administrator privileges can inject malicious payloads through computed extrafields or other evaluation paths using PHP dynamic callable syntax to bypass validation and achieve arbitrary command execution via eval().

How to fix this CVE

Upgrade Dolibarr ERP/CRM to version 23.0.2 or later to patch the authenticated remote code execution vulnerability in the dol_eval_standard() function. This vulnerability allows administrators to execute arbitrary PHP code by bypassing whitelist validation using dynamic callable syntax. Ensure all instances running versions prior to 23.0.2 are patched immediately, as the flaw affects computed extrafields and other dynamic evaluation paths.

sudo dnf update php

What an exploitation attempt looks like

Sample log line indicative of exploitation attempts:

POST requests to /admin/ or /conf/ endpoints containing payloads with PHP dynamic callable syntax (e.g., [$var, 'method'], or variable function calls like $func()) in extrafield parameters; look for: (extrafield|computed).*\[\$.*,\s*['"].*['"]\]|\$[a-zA-Z_][a-zA-Z0-9_]*\(

WAF mitigation (if patching is not yet possible)

Add this rule to your WAF to block exploitation attempts while you schedule the patch.

Implement a Web Application Firewall rule that blocks POST requests to Dolibarr admin modules containing suspicious PHP callable patterns such as array-based dynamic calls or variable function invocations in extrafield parameters. Additionally, restrict admin panel access to known IP ranges and enforce multi-factor authentication for administrator accounts.

How to check if you are affected

  1. Step 1: Check the installed Dolibarr version by running: grep -r "VERSION" /path/to/dolibarr/htdocs/includes/filefunc.inc.php or navigate to Admin → System Information in the web interface
  2. Step 2: Verify if custom extrafields with computed values are enabled by checking the database: mysql -u root -p dolibarr -e "SELECT * FROM llx_extrafields WHERE computed=1;"
  3. Step 3: Search web server logs for suspicious eval() patterns in POST requests targeting /admin or /conf modules: grep -i "eval\|dol_eval_standard" /var/log/apache2/access.log /var/log/nginx/access.log
  4. Step 4: After patching, confirm the version update: php -v and verify Dolibarr version matches 23.0.2 or higher in the admin panel

FAQ

What is CVE-2026-22666?

CVE-2026-22666 is an authenticated remote code execution flaw in Dolibarr ERP/CRM that allows admin-level users to inject malicious PHP code through computed extrafields by exploiting inadequate validation in the dol_eval_standard() function, leading to arbitrary command execution on the server.

Is CVE-2026-22666 being actively exploited?

No, CVE-2026-22666 is not currently listed on the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog and no public exploits are available, though the vulnerability's severity warrants immediate patching.

What versions of PHP are affected by CVE-2026-22666?

All Dolibarr versions up to and including 23.0.1 are affected; the vulnerability is fixed in Dolibarr 23.0.2 and later releases.

How do I check if my server is vulnerable to CVE-2026-22666?

Log into your Dolibarr admin panel and navigate to Admin → System Information to verify the version number. If it displays 23.0.1 or earlier, your instance is vulnerable. Alternatively, run: grep -i "version" /path/to/dolibarr/htdocs/includes/filefunc.inc.php

Does Defensia detect CVE-2026-22666?

Yes — Defensia's CVE advisory scanner compares installed package versions against the NVD database. If Dolibarr is deployed on a monitored server, CVE-2026-22666 will appear in your dashboard with remediation steps.

CVE-2026-39337CVSS 10ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. Prior to 7.1.0, critical pre-authentication remote code execution vulnerability in ChurchCRM's setup wizard allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary PHP code during the initial installation process, leading to complete server compromise. The "$dbPassword" variable is not sanitized. This vulnerability exists due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2025-62521. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.0.
CVE-2025-47916CVSS 10Invision Community 5.0.0 before 5.0.7 allows remote code execution via crafted template strings to themeeditor.php. The issue lies within the themeeditor controller (file: /applications/core/modules/front/system/themeeditor.php), where a protected method named customCss can be invoked by unauthenticated users. This method passes the value of the content parameter to the Theme::makeProcessFunction() method; hence it is evaluated by the template engine. Accordingly, this can be exploited by unauthenticated attackers to inject and execute arbitrary PHP code by providing crafted template strings.

CVE-2025-46348CVSS 10YesWiki is a wiki system written in PHP. Prior to version 4.5.4, the request to commence a site backup can be performed and downloaded without authentication. The archives are created with a predictable filename, so a malicious user could create and download an archive without being authenticated. This could result in a malicious attacker making numerous requests to create archives and fill up the file system, or by downloading the archive which contains sensitive site information. This issue has been patched in version 4.5.4.
CVE-2026-28289CVSS 10FreeScout is a free help desk and shared inbox built with PHP's Laravel framework. A patch bypass vulnerability for CVE-2026-27636 in FreeScout 1.8.206 and earlier allows any authenticated user with file upload permissions to achieve Remote Code Execution (RCE) on the server by uploading a malicious .htaccess file using a zero-width space character prefix to bypass the security check. The vulnerability exists in the sanitizeUploadedFileName() function in app/Http/Helper.php. The function contains a Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) flaw where the dot-prefix check occurs before sanitization removes invisible characters. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.8.207.
